Because the Dot Com bubble happened when I was but a wee child, I'd never really heard about it. I think it's an interesting tidbit of history to know about. Not only because of the huge impact it had on several businesses, but as with any good history lesson, serves as a reminder of what can happen when you don't look before you leap.
With technology advancing and changing so rapidly, I think it's important for businesses to thoroughly investigate new ventures and plan how they intend to market themselves and make a profit before they say "Hey! Check this hip new thing out, it's really cool. We've got to get us a piece of this action" and throw a bunch of their money at it.
Be smart people! Don't burst your bubble.
